Assist in carrying out maintenance, fault diagnosis and rectification work to plant equipment in accordance with Railway group standards and Network Rail instructions.
· Ensure all work is carried out safely in accordance with rule book, health and Safety at work regulations and any relevant safety instructions.
· Assist in carrying out HV isolations as per Group Standards.
· Ensure that all relevant paperwork is filled out correctly.
· Liase with Network Rail staff to ensure minimum disruption to services.
· Carry out track safety duties as required.
· Act as directed by the project leader plant.
· Able to drive and hold a clean driving licence.
· Participate in regular monthly Safety & Technical meetings. The following qualifications are essential:
· PTS
· Fire safety training
· Lookout
· Emergency first aid at work
· Driving allocated vehicles
· HV Authorised person for plant
· Operations of allocated plant
